Abstract
Cr-rich steel samples were implanted with nitrogen ions and post-irradiated with light particles (alphas and argon ions). The thermal evolution of the formed carbonitrides was followed by Conversion Electron Mössbauer Spectroscopy. The nitrogen profiles were determined through the nuclear reaction p(1αN, αγ)1αC also as a function of the annealings. The present results are compared with previous post bombardment data for the 1020 carbon steel.
