Abstract
The temperature distribution in the waveguide channel of a millimeter-band thermal noise generator is calculated. It is shown that, under certain conditions, it is governed solely by the temperature-dependence of the thermal conductivity of the waveguide material. The calculated distribution enables the error due to the uncertainty in this distribution to be reduced by 20–30%.
