I first encountered Peter Rabbit on the “Maggie Muggins Show.” After Maggie spoke to Farmer McGregor, she would to into the garden to see Peter Rabbit. Then they would show pictures of the story with voiceover. I still associate Peter Rabbit with the anticipation I felt for that show.

Through speaking with people about Beatrix Potter, I discovered my central question for this paper; therefore, I felt that the various voices were important to include. The youngest speaker is six; the oldest is sixtyseven.
