Dr. Auerbach, author of Parents and Child Care, has been an intern with the Far West Laboratory for Educational Research and Development and was previously a program specialist with the U.S. Office of Education.

Ms. Neitlich, a former book editor, has written teachers' manuals for film-strips and for the last three years has been assistant to the children's consultant for the Westchester County (New York) Library System.
