Study of the behaviour of chiral alcohols by gas chromatography on chiral phases

Summary

In order to study the resolution of chiral alcohols by gas chromatography twelve chiral phases derived from (+) tartaric acid were synthetized. The different factors whichcould modify the resolution were studied: importance of trapped fractions of the peak, structures of the chiral phases and racemic compounds.
