Summary
The behaviour of butyrophenones in high performance liquid chromatography on silica gel using isohydric solvent systems has been studied. The influence of column temperature, water content, acidity and polarity of isohydric solvents on the retention, column efficiency and resolution of a series of butyrophenones have been investigated. Through the results obtained more insight has been gained into the theoretical aspects of the adsorption process on silica gel with isohydric solvent systems.
