  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

Abstract

A new dimeric hydrolyzed tannin called glarein A (1) is isolated fromEuphorbia glareosa Pall. ex Bieb. leaves. Glarein A consists of two D-glucose residues, two valoneaylic groups, and two gallic acids. The structure is established by chemical reactions and UV, IR, and PMR spectra.
