Determination of Ta impurities in Nb samples by X-rays in neutron activation analysis

Abstract

Ta impurities in Nb samples have been determined by X-rays in 14 MeV neutron activation analysis. For X-ray detection, (HP) Ge detector with Be-window is used. The sensitivity of the determination has been found to be about 30 μg (in Nb).
