A new simple technique for fabrication of inhalation-bronchograms in animals without excluding the larynx by tracheal tubus or tracheotomy

Abstract

Animal experiments showed that inhalation-bronchography can be performed in an uncomplicated way if special mouthpiece is used instead of an endotracheal tube.

Although the larynx works as a dust filter we obtained good bronchograms with only slightly prolonged breathing time.

Zusammenfassung

Es konnte in Hundeversuchen nachgewiesen werden, daß eine Inhalationsbronchographie auch ohne Umgebung des Kehlkopfes mit Hilfe eines speziellen Mundstückes auf unkomplizierte Weise möglich ist.

Obwohl der Kehlkopf ein Staubfilter darstellt, ließen sich gute Bronchogramme mit nur gering verlängerten Atmungszeiten herstellen.
