Nontrivial mechanism of heterogeneous catalysis observed in liquid-phase hydrogenation of 6, 10, 14-trimethylpentadeca-3,5-dien-2-one

Abstract

The kinetics of selective hydrogenation of 6, 10, 14-trimethylpentadeca-4,5-dien-2-one (C-18 ketone) catalyzed by Pd/Al2O3 has revealed that the rate law for all steps is proportional to the 2–3rd power of the catalyst concentration. Experimental data and their mathematical description are presented. This effect has been discovered for the first time and needs theoretical interpretation to elaborate a detailed reaction mechanism.

При исследовании кинетики реакции селективного гидрирования 6-10-14-триметилпентадека-4,5-диен-2-она (кетона C-18) в присутствии Pd/Al2O3 было обнаружено, что скорости реакций по всем стадиям пропорциональны концентрации катализатора в степени 2–3. В работе представлены экспериментальные данные и математическое описание экспериментов. Указанный эффект был обнаружен впервые и требует теоретического обоснования с точки зрения детального механизма реакции.
