Untersuchungen über die Biosynthese und über den serologischen Nachweis des Ribonucleoproteid-Antigens von Influenzaviren

Summary

Infection with fowl plague virus induces an arginine-rich component which can be demonstrated in the cell nucleus by autoradiographic methods. However, pulse-chase experiments indicate that this component is synthesized in the cytoplasm and is transported rapidly to the nucleus where it accumulates. It cannot be ascertained yet, whether this arginine-rich material is identical with the RNP-antigen. Partial inactivation of the virus destroys its capacity to induce either component at almost the same rate. Azo-dyes inhibit the synthesis of the membrane-associated hemagglutinin, but do not influence the production of RNP-antigen.

Zusammenfassung

Durch die Infektion mit dem Virus der Klassischen Geflügelpest wird eine argininreiche Komponente induziert, die im Kern der infizierten Zelle mit autoradiographischen Methoden nachweisbar ist. Im Puls-Chase-Experiment lÄ\t sich jedoch zeigen, da\ die Komponente im Cytoplasma synthetisiert wird und anschlie\end sehr schnell in den Zellkern gelangt, wo sie akkumuliert. Die FÄhigkeit zur Induktion beider Komponenten geht bei der partiellen Inaktivierung des Virus fast gleichmÄ\ig verloren. Azofarbstoffe hemmen die Synthese des membranassoziierten HÄmagglutinins, beeinflussen jedoch die Bildung des RNP-Antigens nicht.
