Structural requirement for catalytic activity of cobalt Schiff base complex in oxygenation of alkenes

Abstract

Kinetics of the oxygenation of styrene catalyzed by cobalt Schiff base complex [(Co(L)] shows that the reaction rate depends on the shape but not on the redox potential of Co(L). Magnetism of Co(L) is important for product distribution.
