Abstract
The surface and catalytic properties of magnesium fluoride supported ruthenium catalysts have been studied. IR and EPR results for adsorption of probe molecules (CO, O2) indicate the existence of both Ru0 and Ruδ+ clusters. The Ru/MgF2 system was found to be very active in redox reactions.
