A first approach to the catalytic properties of porous glass

Abstract

The stopped-flow technique was used to study the catalytic properties of porous glass on a number of model reactions. It was found that porous glass is an excellent catalyst for the dehydrohalogenation of alkyl halides, dehydration of aliphatic alcohols, and deamination of primary aliphatic amines.

Техника остановленной струи была использована для исследования каталитических свойств пористых стекол для ряда реакций. Было найдено, что пористые стекла являются превосходными катализаторами дегидрогалогенирования алкильных галидов, дегидратации адифатических спиртов и деаминирования первичных алифатических аминов.
