The effect of hormones on experimental moniliasis in mice

II. Gonadotropins

Mycopathologia et mycologia applicata Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Various gonadotropic hormones were inoculated into mice infected with systemic moniliasis. It was found that the course of the infection could be modified in a beneficial or deleterious manner depending on such conditions as the severity of the infection, sex of animal, doses used and their schedule of inoculation, route of inoculation and source of gonadotropin. The relationship between these data and their similarity to comparable effects ascribed to cortisone is presented and discussed.
