Abstract
Three-dimensional thermal analysis of catastrophic mirror damage in stripe-geometry diode lasers was carried out in the present work. The spatial extent of the heat source at and near to the mirror surface as well as the temperature dependences of both the thermal conductivity and the thermal diffusivity are taken into account in the model. The heat conduction equation is solved by means of the Green function method.
