Summary
The hapatic transport of thiamine phosphates was studied in isolated rat hepatocytes. No significant radioactivity of14C-thiamine monophosphate and14C-thiamine pyrophosphate was incorporated into liver cells freshly isolated using the collagenase-perfusion technique. The result indicates that neither thiamine phosphates nor their thiamine moiety are available for liver cells.
