Summary
A limonoid ‘sendanin’ has been identified by spectroscopic data in the fresh fruit of a tropical tree,Trichilia roka (Meliaceae). It has an insect growth inhibitory activity against 4 important cotton insect pests. The absolute configuration of sendanin has been proposed based on CD-data.
