Massive lower GI hemorrhage in hemoductal pancreatitis

Abstract

A patient presenting with massive lower gastrointestinal bleeding had angiographic demonstration of direct communication between the splenic artery and a dilated pancreatic duct caused by chronic pancreatitis. Previous reports in the literature of similar cases of hemoductal pancreatitis describe hemorrhage from splenic artery pseudoaneurysms.
