On the application of polyamide-powder in the analysis of organic preservatives

Summary

The behaviour of some organic preservatives against polyamide-powder is demonstrated. By use of polyamide-powder it is possible to separate the preservatives allowed in the BRD as benzoic acid, sorbic acid and p-hydroxybenzoic acid from p-hydroxybenzoic acidesters and formic acid. It is also referred to the analysis of other preservatives by use of polyamide-powder.

Zusammenfassung

Organische Konservierangsstoffe zeigen gegenüber dem Sorptionsmittel Polyamid ein unterschiedliches Verhalten. Während sich von den in der BRD erlaubten Konservierungsstoffen Benzoe- und Sorbinsäure an Polyamidpulver adsorbieren lassen, werden p-Hydroxybenzoesäureester und Ameisensäure daran nicht fixiert. Es wird ein allgemeiner Trennungsgang für organische Konservierungsstoffe mit Hilfe von Polyamidpulver angegeben.
