Abstract
For solid solutions satisfying the Kopp-Neumann rule a relation is derived between the amplitudes of thermal vibrations of atoms of the components in a solid solution. The derived relation enables the separation of these quantities from the measured mean-square amplitudes of the atoms of the solid solution to be made.
