Abstract

The paper derives the dependence of the range of the region of molecular and viscose flow in leakages on its radius, the characteristics of the flowing gas and the pressure values at the ends of the leakages. The derivation is performed for a leakage model in the shape of a straight cylinder of circular cross-section. The leakage conductivity and range of the region are characteristics corresponding to volume processes; the influence of surface processes on the passage of gas through a leak is not considered.
