Abstract

The paper describes two methods for determining the specific heat of a liquid in an electric calorimeter where the determination of the temperature change of the measured liquid before and after the experiment, which is necessary for determining the correction for thermal losses, is eliminated. It gives formulas for calculating the coefficients for the parabolic interpolation of the calorimeter temperature versus time on the assumption that the time measurements are equidistant.
