The use of empirical constants in shielding design

Abstract

The article contains a generalization of the results of experimental and theoretical investigations relating to the determination and use of removal cross sections. It also considers the questions of the possibility of extending the region of applicability of empirical constants for the design of various kinds of neutrons shielding. A table gives the values of empirical constants for calculating the penetration of fast neutrons.
