Abstract

As a teacher reads aloud during rugtime to her class of three-year-olds, one child tugs at another's hair. A child in the back of the group finds that he can't see the pictures clearly, so he busies himself with gazing out the classroom window. Two other children talk loudly to each other as the teacher attempts to finish the story. Finally, the disruptions and general inattentiveness become too much and the teacher gives up and closes the book. Another storytime is ruined.
