A new algorithm for solving space-charge problems with thermally-emitted electrons

Czechoslovak Journal of Physics B Aims and scope

Abstract

The paper deals with the extension of the known older results regarding the space-charge limitation of current in a plane diode to a more complex case with more electrodes. The method involving the usage of a computer can be used under certain assumptions the most important of which is that the electron paths are only slightly curved and that the electrical field is only two-dimensional.
