Abstract
Two descriptive accounts illustrate the problems associated with the development of new curricula in higher education. Stanič of the University of Ljubljana, Yugoslavia, discusses how new interdisciplinary and interfaculty courses may be developed from traditionally organized departments and faculties. Maier and Weidner of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay discuss how an innovative academic environment may be created and encouraged.
