Summary

    The literature on the incubation period of general paresis has been reviewed.

  2. 2.

    A case of general paresis with a proven incubation period of eight months has been presented.

  3. 3.

    It is urged that spinal fluid examination be done early in the course of the disease so that cases such as the one described here may receive early fever treatment.
