CAROLYN SACHS is Assistant Professor of Rural Sociology at The Pennsylvania State University. Her research interests focus on the structure of agriculture, the role of women in agriculture, and the management of small farms. She is currently the Director of Circleville Farm at The Pennsylvania State University, which was designed to provide students an opportunity to experience agriculture first-hand.
