II. The effective diffusion tensor of a chain molecule in shear flow

Summary

The mean Oseen's tensor of the hydrodynamic interaction between any two beads in the modified Rouse subchain model is calculated using a conditional distribution function for the interbeads distances in shear flow obtained in this paper.

With the so obtained anisotropic tensor the effective hydrodynamic resistance tensor, or the effective diffusion tensor, of a bead and of the entire molecule are calculated and discussed.

Zusammenfassung

Der mittlere Oseensche Tensor der hydrodynamischen Wechselwirkungen zwischen zwei beliebigen Perlen im modifizierten Rouse-Subkettenmodell wird mit Hilfe der in dieser Arbeit abgeleiteten bedingten Verteilungsfunktion für die Abstände zwischen den Perlen berechnet.

Mit diesem anisotropen Tensor werden die Tensoren des effektiven hydrodynamischen Widerstands bzw. die effektiven Diffusionstensoren für eine Perle und für das ganze Molekül berechnet und diskutiert.
