Summary
Intrinsic viscosities of Na poly(α-L-glutamate) having different degrees of polymerization and neutralization in aqueous NaCl solution are reported. The results are discussed in terms of Stockmayer and Fixman relation. It is deduced that this polymer suffers from residual charge interaction at Φ condition and from negative excluded volume effect if the electrostatic long range interaction is eliminated.
