Interplay of valence-shell clusters and the vibrational field in58Ni

Abstract

The level scheme and electromagnetic properties of58Ni are described in the two-particle cluster core coupling model without parameter fitting. The present results are compared to previous shell-model and quasi-particle calculations. To explain the enhancedE2 transitions a neutron effective charge ofe is needed, while the bare value for the vibrator charge has been used.
