Abstract
Bopp's method of quantization of relativistic fieldtheories is applied to a theory possessingSU(3)-symmetry. This allows an investigation of the relationship between group-theory and dynamics. The Schrödinger-operator we use leads to exactly solvable equations in the case of two-particles and permits investigation of binding and scattering. Meson masses are used for the determination of the parameters involved. We then obtain plausible values for the scattering cross-sections. Useful values are obtained for the cross-section also at low energies, a fact which we attribute to the existence of exactly-bound, deuteron-like twoparticle states — this, however, requires further investigation.
