Abstract
The decay scheme of 2.1 h123Xe has been investigated using isotopically separated samples produced by the ISOLDE facility at CERN. A total number of 108 γ-transitions has been observed in this decay, 103 of them have been placed in a level scheme involving 28 excited states in123I. This level scheme is mainly based on the results of γγ-coincidence experiments with two Ge(Li) detectors.
