DipoleA 2 meson and the high-energy reaction π+ → πN 3/*2

Abstract

On the basis of a dipole model for theA 2 meson, we describe the angular distribution of the high-energy reactionπ + p→ηN 3/*2 . Our results are qualitatively compared with the existing experimental data and with the predictions of the usual Regge pole model.
