Conclusions
The authors show the high efficiency of flotation removal of emulsified carbamide resins from the effluent of refractory undertakings by means of chlorides of quaternary bases containing in the alkyl part of the molecule from 10 to 16 carbon atoms. The addition of small (0.3–0.6 mg/liter) amounts of these SUR to effluent permits separation of 99.0–99.2% of the disperse phase of the emulsion.
This method of effluent purification permits utilization of the separated carbamide resin in the manufacture of heat-insulating inserts.
