Lineare Polarisation der Röntgen-Bremsstrahlung dünner Antikathoden

Linear polarization of thin-target-bremsstrahlung

Abstract

For electron energies of 50 keV and 180 keV we have investigated the linear polarization in the bremsstrahlung spectrum. In the case of lower energy measurements were taken for the angular dependence of the polarization with a low-Z-target (Z=6). At the higher energy results are given for two targets (Al2O3 and Au) at a fixed emission angle (angle of maximum polarization=48°). The measurements are compared with theoretical calculations and with the experimental results ofMotz andPlacious.
