Abstract
Single crystal lamina of potassium chlorate and potassium chloride are grown from the solution in the narrow space between two parallel glass surfaces. Electron micrographs are taken at 60 and 80 keV. The monocrystalline structure is demonstrated by the diffraction of a parallel electron beam. The exact thickness of the crystals can be determined from the subsidiary maxima within the Bragg reflections in a convergent beam pattern. Other crystals are under investigation.
