Decoupling of holes in thetJ model atJ=2t fromspl(2, 1) symmetry

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik B Condensed Matter

Abstract

The binding energy of twop=0 holes in thetJ model on a square lattice is shown to vanish atJ=2t due to thespl(2, 1) symmetry at this point. In any back-ground of antiferromagnetic type, with finite total spin in an infinite volume, the binding energy atx=0 hole doping vanishes at least as (J−2t)2 asJ→2t. These exact results may serve as tests of more comprehensive calculations of interactions of holes in thetJ model.
