Equation of motion and nonlinear response for a dipolar uniaxial ferromagnet near the critical point

Abstract

For a uniaxial pure ferromagnet the equation of motion describing the behaviour of the order parameter nearT c is investigated using renormalization group theory. We obtain a linear and a nonlinear relaxation time, a power law for the magnetization atT c and linear and nonlinear response for a nonvanishing external field.
