Two-valley model for studying the low temperature phases inn-type inversion layers of semiconductors

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik B Condensed Matter

Abstract

The low temperature phases of a two-valley model forn-type inversion layers are studied. If the coupling constants are in a certain range charge-density waves exist below a transition temperatureT c. For reasonable values of the coupling constantsT c is around 30 °K.
