Abstract
High spin states in 117Tewere populated following the 108Pd(16O,2p5n)reaction at Elab=84MeV and the subsequent de-excitation was studied using γray spectroscopic techniques. Two new bands consisting of E2 transitions were established upto spins 41/2 and 45/2, above the band built on v[505]11/2− orbital. Such bands are seen for the first time in the systematics of odd- mass Te- nuclei.
