Model investigation of firing conditions of chrome-magnesite refractories in gas-fired chamber kilns

Conclusions

The results of investigations of a model and of an industrial kiln show the favorable effect of a baffle plate arrangement above the gas outlets of tunnel kilns which enhances uniform firing temperatures throughout the chamber.
