Conclusions
It should be possible essentially to improve the thermal-shock and shock resistance of a ceramic made from MgO by reinforcing it with filamentary crystals of ZrO2. The optimum technological parameters for obtaining a composite material from MgO and ZrO2 crystals have been determined and the effect of the technological factors on the mechanical properties of those compositions obtained by hot pressing have been studied.
