Conclusions
A study was made of the influence of hydrostatic processing at pressures of 300–1800 N/mm2 on the density and bending strength of β-alumina materials containing stabilized zirconium dioxide. In optimum conditions we obtained β-alumina materials with a relative density of 94–96% and a bending strength of 230–240 N/mm2. The materials have a heterophase, finely crystalline structure with a mass proportion of β-Al2O3 phase of upto 90%.
