Summary

The diphosphatase of comminuted muscle tissue is activated by high MgCl2 concentrations. CaCl2, EDTA and low concentrations of MgCl2 lower the activity. The addition of diphosphate inhibits even after its complete enzymatic hydrolysis the breakdown of additionally added diphosphate; addition of MgCl2 increases the diphosphatase activity again.

Zusammenfassung

Die Diphosphatase von zerkleinertem Muskelgewebe wird durch hohe Konzentration an MgCl2 aktiviert. CaCl2, EDTA und niedrige Konzentrationen an MgCl2 setzen die Aktivität herab. Der Zusatz von Diphosphat hemmt auch nach völliger enzymatischer Hydrolyse den Abbau von erneut zugesetztem Diphosphat. Ein Zusatz von MgCl2 erhöht die Diphosphatase-Aktivität wieder.
