Analysis of the blanket algorithm to study the texture of an image

Abstract

We analyse the algorithm proposed by Pentland and show how to fit it to each image, choosing (efficiently) the number of interactions automatically. Furthermore, we discuss the possibilities and some disadvantages in the use of this algorithm for the computation of textures in real images.
