The determination of metal content in biochemical products by atomic absorption spectroscopy. I

Cytochrome-C and chlorophyllins

Microchimica Acta Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Atomic absorption spectroscopy has been used to determine the copper content of commercial chlorophyllins and of the iron in Cytochrome-C. The procedure is rapid and direct as preparation involves only weighing and dissolution of the sample. The precision of the methods is excellent. The values obtained compare favorably with those obtained by the standard colorimetric methods.
