Adsorption properties of silica gel in simultaneous determination of carbon, hydrogen, and iodine or carbon, hydrogen, and sulphur

Summary

A simple gravimetric method for simultaneous microanalytical determination of carbon and hydrogen together with sulphur or bromine or iodine, in non-nitrogenous compounds is described. Commercial silica gel is used as the external adsorbent for sulphur dioxide and halogens.

Zusammenfassung

Eine einfache gravimetrische Methode zur gleichzeitigen mikroanalytisehen Bestimmung von Kohlenstoff und Wasserstoff gemeinsam mit Schwefel, Brom oder Jod in Verbindungen, die keinen Stickstoff enthalten, wurde beschrieben. Handelsübliches Kieselgel dient als äußeres Adsorptionsmittel für Schwefeldioxid und Halogene.
