Summary

The use of silica gel as the external absorbent for halogens and sulphur and nitrogen oxides in the microanalytical determination of carbon and hydrogen is described. As the chlorine is bound quantitatively the procedure is useful in simultaneous determination of carbon, hydrogen and chlorine.
